ANARA Retreats

Rest first. The village comes later.

We run retreats now, on rented land near Chicago, while the campus is still being planned. Two to four a year, small groups, real rest.

Three formats

Choose the depth you need.

Sabr Day

One day · 8 hours

Morning reflection, guided breathwork, a long walk, a shared meal cooked together, and an afternoon of quiet. You leave with a small practice you can actually keep.

ForAnyone carrying a heavy season

From $85

Weekend Retreat

Two nights

Two nights away from the phone. Circles, land work in the garden, wellness sessions, and unstructured rest. Small group, capped so nobody disappears into the crowd.

ForCaregivers, professionals, students

From $340

Intergenerational Weekend

Two nights · families and elders

The heart of the ANARA model, run as a weekend: elders and families attend together. Children learn from elders, elders are needed rather than visited, families get real rest.

ForElders, families, foster and kinship households

Tiered by household

Indicative pricing for our first season. Dates are announced to the waitlist first.

How we price

Two full-price seats fund one sponsored seat.

This is the ANARA economy in miniature: earn where we can, subsidise where we must. Nobody in the room knows which seat anyone else is sitting in.

Full price

Covers your seat and part of someone else's. Choose this if you can.

Community rate

A reduced rate, no explanation required and no means test. Ask and it is yours.

Sponsored seat

Fully funded from the Care Fund. Reserved for elders on fixed incomes, caregivers, and families in crisis.

What we measure

Every retreat is also evidence.

Attendance

How many seats fill, and how quickly, across each format and tier.

Return rate

How many people come back. Community shows up in repeat attendance, not applause.

Before and after

One simple wellbeing question at arrival and departure, tracked over a season.

Those three numbers go straight into the ANARA feasibility study. Retreats are how we prove demand before anyone is asked to fund a building.
